berbel expands its management

Rheine, 21 December 2016 – Nina Feldmann is joining the management board of berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH with immediate effect. Along with Peter Ahlmer and Beat Ernst, berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH is now managed by three Managing Directors.  Nina Feldmann has been an authorised signatory of berbel since December 2014 and she is currently responsible for the accounting department. Wolfgang Kaltenbrunner, Head of Production, Logistics and Purchasing has been made an authorised signatory.

All of us are experts in our respective fields and our diverse experiences are going to provide positive impulses for our company’s development, also in the future,” says graduate engineer Peter Ahlmer.

Beat Ernst is taking over from Erling Boller as Managing Director for the Swiss umbrella company at berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH. berbel has been a full subsidiary of the Swiss WESCO AG since December 2012. The two companies have been cooperating on the development and product level as well as in the area of procurement since 2010. The Swiss WESCO AG is focussing its activities in the area of the kitchen and home ventilation business with immediate effect. The “Home” division includes the kitchen and home ventilation business of Swiss WESCO AG as well as the kitchen ventilation business of berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH and homeier Küchentechnik GmbH in Germany, of berbel A/S in Denmark and the kitchen ventilation business of createc s.r.l. in Italy. As part of a management buyout, the industrial branch of Swiss WESCO AG has been sold to the former CEO of Swiss WESCO AG and outgoing Managing Director of berbel Ablufttechnik GmbH, Erling Boller with retroactive effect as of 1 October 2016, and been pooled in a new umbrella company.

Beat Ernst is a second generation manger of the family business WESCO AG and he is convinced that focussing on the “Home” division will help to further strengthen the brand in Switzerland: “With our high-quality products, we are the Swiss market leader of the kitchen ventilation industry and we are well-established in the area of home ventilation. We would like to reinforce and further develop our position by focussing on the requirements of our customers in the home sector.”
