Essen on 20 June 2022 – On the occasion of the Red Dot Gala held at the Aalto theatre in Essen, the extraction system experts berbel received the 2022 Red Dot Design Award in the category ‘Kitchen: hob with integrated extraction system’ for their Downline Infinity.
The Red Dot Product Design Award: Best of the Best is awarded to acknowledge pioneering design and is the highest accolade of the competition. “Developing this new hob extraction system was a very dear wish of ours. I am proud that we won a Red Dot Best of the Best with the Downline Infinity,” said berbel’s CEO Karl von Bodelschwingh shortly after receiving the Red Dot Award.The evaluation process
The Red Dot Award: Product Design was established in the 1950s and is awarded for outstanding designs and innovative products every year. The winners are selected by an independent panel of experts known as the Red Dot Jury. The jurors review and assess every product that is entered. Products are reviewed individually, rather than competing with each other.
